Armed clashes in Western Libya as militias vie for control

Armed clashes were reported in Western Libya as militia groups jostled for control the city of Ajilat in Western Libya.
According to TunisiaNews, several neighbourhoods in Ajilat saw violent skirmishes between 103rd Infantry Battalion, known as Al-Sala’a, and another group linked to Hatem Al-Fehri on January 11th.
Such clashes have frequently occurred in the Western region of Libya as the checkerboard of armed groups, a hangover from the country’s civil war, continue to wield influence, according to SWP.
