Russians move to Libya in major military relocation
Russia has moved its military assets in Syria to a base in Libya, in what is a major escalation in the geopolitical giant’s presence in the region.
According to Nova News on January 14th, Libyan sources reported the transfer of men and equipment to the Maaten al Sarra base, on the border with Chad and Sudan.
In a strategic location, the base will serve as a centre of operations for Russia military influence in the Sahel region, an area rapidly gaining significance in Moscow.
