Tunisians mark revolution anniversary with demonstrations

Hundreds of Tunisians gathered in the capital of Tunis on January 14th to protest what they called a decline in freedoms in the north African country.
According to MiddleEastMonitor, the march, organised by a coalition of leftist and liberal groups, marked the 14th anniversary of the revolution that overthrew then-President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in 2011, after 23 years in power.
The demonstration comes after authorities cracked down on media and freedom of expression last year, using intimidation tactics, according to Amnesty.
