Morocco: Conservationist Jane Goodall slams stray dog slaughter
Conservationist Jane Goodall has slammed Morocco’s slaughter of stray dogs as an “horrific act of barbarity”, as dissenting voices grow internationally.
According to Mint on January 19th, Jane Goodall wrote a letter to FIFA demanding immediate intervention, as the North African kingdom continues clear its street of around three million dogs before the 2030 Soccer World Cup.
The International Animal Coalition estimates that over 300,000 dogs are being killed each year by a variety of inhumane methods including shooting and poisoning.
