The interior minister of Italy said on January 23rd that a Libyan man detained under an international arrest warrant for war crimes and then subsequently released had been repatriated due to his “social dangerousness,” reported The Guardian.

Osama Najim, also known as al-Masri, was arrested on January 18th in Turin under an arrest warrant issued by The Hague-based international criminal court, ICC.

He was released on January 21st on a technicality and flown to Tripoli, causing the ICC to demand an explanation.
