The perpetrator of the recent terror attack in Israel on January 21st was a Moroccan national with a US green card.

Four people were injured in a terror related stabbing spree in a Tel Aviv neighbourhood, according to The Times of Israel. The attacker was shot dead by Israeli police. The attacker was then identified as Abdelaziz Kaddi.

The attack was preventable due to the fact Abdelaziz was flagged by security when he arrived in the country on January 18th on a tourist visa, he was nonetheless granted entry, a decision that Israeli authorities have pledged to investigate.

According to YNet news, Abdelaziz was very vocal against Israel on social media, due to their actions against Gaza. These social media posts included images slain terrorist Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, and following the October 7 Hamas terror attack, Abdelaziz referred to the events as a potential reason for “doubling the number of martyrs for Islam.”

The Magen David Adom ambulance service released some details about the four that were wounded in the attack. The victims were all male, three of which were in their twenties.

Amongst varying reports on who shot the assailant, the Ynet outlet attributed the shooting to members of an off-duty special forces unit, who noticed the attack: “We came down from an apartment and saw a stabber dropping someone to the ground. We shouted to him to stop and fired when he didn’t comply,” one of them anonymously stated to the outlet.

According to eyewitnesses Kaddi arrived on a motorcycle that was driven by another individual who left the scene before the attack began.

This marks the second terror stabbing in three days on Israeli soil, the attacker in the prior incident was identified as Salah Yahye, 19, from the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
