The International Criminal Court’s prosecutor announced on January 27th that his office will be seeking arrest warrants for those accused of atrocities in the West Darfur region of Sudan, reported Africa News.

Karim Khan told the United Nations Security Council that “as we speak and daily,” war crimes are being committed and are being used as a weapon of war in the region.

He said he came to this conclusion after “a hard-edged analysis” based on evidence and information collected by his office.
