A damning new report by human rights groups says the EU is “complicit” in the systemised selling of migrants by Tunisian authorities to Libyan gangs for as little as £10.

According to GB News on January 30th, the findings reveal the frequent rounding up of migrants in Tunisia, who are then transported across the border and sold to Libyan gangs, with women being sold into sex slavery.

The report claims the EU, and particularly Italy, have enabled to violations of human rights, through agreements and trade deals with Tunisia, with the Italian government having spent almost £62.8million since 2017 on training and equipping Tunisian border guards.
