Egyptians protest against Trump Palestine displacement plan
Thousands demonstrated at the Rafah border crossing into Gaza on January 31st, an eyewitness told Reuters, in a rare state-sanctioned protest against a proposal made by US president Donald Trump for Egypt and Jordan to accept Gazan refugees.
Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on hat Egypt would facilitate the rejected the proposal on January 29th, and sad Egyptians would take to the streets to express their disagreement with the plan.
Protesters were heard chanting “Long Live Egypt” and waving the flags of Egypt and and Palestine.
