Morocco’s unemployment rate rises to 13.3% in 2024

Morocco’s unemployment rate has risen to 13.3%, marking a black spot on an otherwise thriving economy.
According to Middle East Monitor on February 3th, unemployment rose from 13% in 2023, and is now over double the EU average.
While Morocco’s debt has reduced and inflation lowered, the labour market has been stubborn, with young citizens struggling to find work, according to Al Majalla.
