The UN committee tasked with laying the ground work for Libyan unification elections will start work on February 10th, amid claims the process is already compromised.

According to Al-Araby, the team led by Stephanie Khoury will first address disputes in electoral laws, including proposals for guarantees and reassurances, before tackling the broader issues surrounding the Libya’s schism.

However, both rivals for the presidency already have reservations about the committee, with hopeful Khaled Al-Mishri calling it “unbalanced by all standards”.
