Greece is lobbying France to stop its sale of advanced missiles to Turkey, reported Middle East Monitor on February 11th.
France agreed to sell MBDA Meteor missiles to Turkey in January, in a move that would greatly enhance the capabilities of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets that the Turkish government is trying to purchase.
Politico cited unnamed Greek government officials who revealed that Athens is lobbying against the sale, with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis apparently having raised and prioritise the issue in talks with French President, Emmanuel Macron on February 10th.
