Calls grow for an explanation of Morocco’s reasoning behind its blocking of Spanish diplomats from Western Sahara.

According to pro-Algeria newspaper AL24 on 5 February, Morocco has expelled more than 300 people from 21 countries, including diplomats, human rights activists and journalists from Western Sahara.

Three Basque parliamentarians were prevented from leaving their plane at the Western Saharan city of El Aaiun, and were quickly returned home to Spain in January, according to Maghrebi.
