Spain has approved at €750m loan to Morocco to help the North African kingdom secure trains for its fast developing rail network.

According to Yabiladi, the loan was approved on 11 February and appears to favor the Basque company CAF for supplying the trains.

The moves comes after Morocco awarded contracts to French companies to expand the country’s high speed rail network, leaving Spain by the wayside, according to AGBI.
