Morocco falls further down corruption index

Transparency International reported in its 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index, published on February 11th, that Morocco lost a point and dropped to 37 out of 100, which placed the country at 99th out of 180 nations.
The index scores countries from 0 to 100, with 0 representing high levels of corruption and 100 representing high levels of transparency.
Morocco ranked below Tunisia, at 92nd, but above fellow Maghreb countries Libya, Algeria and Mauritania, ranked 173rd, 107th and 130th respectively.
