Over 200 unarmed civilians have been killed in several Sudanese villages in three days by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that is engaged in a violent conflict with the military, according to a local rights group, the BBC reported on February 18th.

According to the Emergency Lawyers Network, the attacks took place al-Kadaris and al-Khelwat towards the north of White Nile state, areas where the military were not operating.

The network also said that RSF fighters had carried out “executions, kidnappings, enforced disappearances and property looting.”

The RSF has not provided any comment on the accusations. It was allied to the military before the civil war started during April 2023.
