Tunisia: Possibility of ‘hosting’ exiled Hamas shot down

Israeli media has claimed Tunisia could take exiled Hamas fighters prompting a cacophony of voices from the North African country.
According to The New Arab on February 17th, Israeli media, perhaps somewhat blase in their reporting, have floated the possibility of Tunisia taking in “relocated” Palestinians from Gaza.
The claim has provoked controversy in President Kais Saied’s ostensible democracy, with opposition parties arguing hosting Hamas leaders could make them a military target, while pro-Palestinians vigorously protest the idea of displacement itself.
