Over $50 billion would be required for Gaza to completely recover following its 15-month conflict with Israel, new estimates from the UN, the EU, and the World Bank have said, The New Arab via Reuters reported on February 19th.

The Interim Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (IRDNA), which examined the damage caused from the war between October 2023 to October last year, worked out that the total price for reconstruction is $53.2 billion over the next ten years, with approximately $20 billion required in the initial three years.

The researchers confirmed that Israel’s attacks caused physical damage worth $49 billion as well as economic and social deficiencies in the year ending October 2024.
