The ruling parties of Turkey and Djibouti have signed a political partnership agreement in an attempt to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, reported Middle East Monitor on February 19th.
This comes as Ankara continues to expand its presence in east Africa.
Djibouti’s finance minster Ilyas Moussa Dawale praised the signing of the agreement on X and emphasised that Turkey and Djibouti share “a longstanding common history, and our bilateral ties [are] stronger than ever.”
