Hamas hands over four hostage bodies to Israel

Hamas has handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages, including a mother and her two young children, in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

According to The New York Times on 20 February, the transfer took place in Khan Younis, where Hamas staged a public handover with armed gunmen present.

The remains, identified as Shiri Bibas, her sons Ariel and Kfir, and Oded Lifshitz, were taken by the Red Cross and are now in Israeli custody for forensic examination.
