UAE will send 300 tonnes of food to Gaza for Ramadan

The UAE will be sending 300 tonnes of food to Gaza through aid flights for the next three days, to provide vital aid for Palestinians during Ramadan, The National reported on February 21st.

The initial 100 tonnes of staple food supplies, such as flour, rice and ingredients for cooking were put on a plane at Fujairah International Airport, which is expected to head to Al Arish in Egypt within hours.

A further two planes containing 100 tonnes of food are expected to depart from Ras Al Khaimah on February 22nd and 23rd. The holy month of Ramadan is expected to be observed from March 1st within Arab nations.
