The former president of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) Wadie Jary has been sentenced to four years in prison on corruption charges, reported BBC Sport on February 21st.

A spokesperson for the Tunisian sports ministry told AFP that the conviction related to an “unlawful contract between the FTF and a technical director” during his time in charge of the FTF.

Jary’s lawyers say he will appeal against the verdict.
