UK appoints new ambassador to Morocco
The UK confirmed that it had appointed Alex Pinfield as its new ambassador to Morocco on February 20th.
He replaces Simon Martin, who was appointed back in February 2020 after previously serving as ambassador to Bahrain.
Pinfield, an OBE, had been serving as the foreign, commonwealth and development office’s head of Iran unit, and had previously served as the head of their Afghanistan unit.
