24 killed, 800 hospitalised in Sudan waterborne disease outbreak

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said on February 21st that an “out-of-control” waterborne disease outbreak in the south of Sudan has killed at least two dozen and left more than 800 others in hospital in the previous three days, reported The New Arab.
The outbreak in White Nile state came after a reported drone strike on the Um Dabakar power station, 275 kilometres or 170 miles south of capital Khartoum, which disrupted access to clean water in the city of Kosti.
Health officials in the country said on February 20th that over 400 cases of cholera had been detected in the city.
