Incendiary device explodes outside Russian consulate in Marseille

An incendiary device exploded outside the Russian consulate in Marseille early on February 24th, authorities said, on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, reported Asharq al-Awsat.
No injuries were reported. A second device that was thrown but did not explode, while a bomb disposal expert was called to the scene.
An official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to be named publicly due to national police policy, said the suspect fled and an investigation was launched. Authorities did not provide details on the suspect or give a motive.
