Rumors of forced recruitment by M23 rebels in DRC
On February 25th, panic broke out in Congo’s Goma, as rumors began to circulate that M23 rebels were forcibly recruiting.
According to AfricaNews, Parents rushed to schools to pick up their children early, whilst others fled the city.
The M23 maintains they have never carried out forced recruitment, and that no recruitment was taking place in Goma’s schools.
