France has delivered its most severe punishment to Tunisian national Brahim Aouissaoui, 25, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing three people at the basilica Notre-Dame de Nice in October 2020.

According to The New Arab on 27 February, Aouissaoui was charged with terrorist murder and attempted terrorist murder. He stated that he carried out the attack to avenge Muslims who had been killed around the world by western nations.
