Senegal signs peace deal with rebel faction

Senegal has signed a a new peace deal with a rebel separatist group which is located in the country’s south.
According to The Associated Press, Senegalese Prime Minster Ousmane Sonko announced the agreement between the government and the rebels on February 24.
The conflict with The Movement of Democratic Forces Of Casamance, one of the longest-running in the region, begun in the early 1980’s.
