Arab ministers finalise Gaza reconstruction plan
Arab ministers have finalized their Gaza reconstruction plan ahead of the Arab League summit expected to happen on Tuesday, reported Asharq Al-Awsat on March 4th.
The plan involves Gaza’s reconstruction without the displacement of the Palestinian people as a counter-proposal to US President Donald Trump’s plan to “take over” the Gaza Strip and turn it into the “Riviera of the Middle East”, forcing the local Palestinians to relocate to Egypt and Jordan.
The Egyptian vision for Gaza does not specify whether the proposal would be implemented before or after any permanent peace deal to end the war triggered by the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks.
