Charity says over 30 migrants stranded on oil rig off Tunisia

Over 30 migrants including two children have been stranded for three days on an oil rig off Tunisia and are in need of assistance, Reuters reported that the Sea-Watch charity said on March 3rd.
A statement said the group were spotted on the Miskar oil platform on March 1st by a reconnaissance plane operated by Sea-Watch, near an empty floating rubber dinghy.
“We were later able to confirm that the people were seen huddled in blankets on the platform deck, trying to shelter from the wind and waves,” the statement read.
