Trump signals ‘final moments’ in Iran nuclear negotiations
A nuclear deal is on the cards for Iran and the US as Trump sends a letter to their leadership.
According to Arab Weekly, Trump believes negotiations are imminent, stating they’re down to the “final moments” regarding Iran’s nuclear situation. On March 7, Iran’s UN mission reported that they had not yet received the letter.
Trump initially withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement, and since then Iran has continued to move away from its nuclear-related commitments under that deal.
Whether Tehran will engage with this new diplomatic overture remains to be seen.
