President Saied to tackle Tunisian job insecurity through reform

Tunisian President Kais Saied met with the Minister of Social Affairs, Issam Lahmar, to examine the proposed revision of certain provisions in the national Labour Code before it finally reforms.

The main focus of this reform is to abolish subcontracting and limit the use of fixed-term contracts (CDD).

According to a video posted on the official presidency page, Kaïs Saïed said that the revision will be carried out with an innovative approach, seeking to definitively move away from traditional methods deemed ineffective.
