Egypt: Inflation rate halves between January and February

In Egypt, the inflation rate has almost halved in February as the country carries out economic reforms in a bid to stabilise the economy, according to The National on March 10th.
Whilst in January inflation stood at 24%, in February this dropped to 12.8 percent, the lowest inflation level since March 2022 when Egypt was struggling with a major financial crisis.
However, experts warn that the figures may look more impressive than the reality on the ground and that the country has a lot further to go to repair the economy so businesses can start spending again.
