Trump threatens to double tariffs on Canada
President Trump has threatened to double his already devastating tariffs on Canada and several other countries.
According to The New Arab, Trump stated that he would increase his already 25% tariffs on steel and aluminium to around 50% from all imported metals from Canada to the US.
In response, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that his administration would retaliate with “maximum impact” through counter-tariffs against the US.
