Morocco’s North-South railway expansion plan unveiled

Morocco is planning to expand its railway network from Tangier to Lagouira, passing through Agadir, connecting the north and south.
According to Atalayar, Transport Minister Abdel Samad Kayouh confirmed the news in parliament on the 13th of March.
Plans are also in place to extend to Marrakech by 2030 for the World Cup that Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
The project should be a significant boost for the economy, bringing in an estimated 300,000 jobs.
