Mosquitoes genetically engineered to be Malaria resistant

Scientists at Imperial College London are developing a new genetic modification that would make mosquitoes unable to spread malaria to humans.

According to Africa News on March 13th, currently malaria is one of the most deadly diseases in the world, with 600,000 dying from the disease in 2023 alone.

The vast majority of malaria cases occur in African countries.
