Egypt train incident: Eight killed as minibus hit at crossing

Eight people have been killed and twelve injured during an incident at a train crossing in the Suez Canal province of Ismailia.
According to Asharq Al Awsat, a train hit a minibus at an unauthorised crossing on the 13th of March.
The Egyptian railway authority confirmed the train was on its regular route. The crossing point was not designated for vehicles.
Previous incidents include an October crash and a September collision that killed at least 3 people.
The Egyptian government has announced railway improvement initiatives, with President el-Sissi estimating $8.13 billion needed for proper overhaul.
