Israeli postpones response to Hamas due to release of US hostage

Israel has postponed a potential military response to Hamas’s refusal to comprise in ceasefire negotiations following the release of a dual-national hostage.
According to The New Arab, Edan Alexander, a dual US-Israeli citizen, was offered to be returned to Israel on March 14, along with the bodies of four deceased hostages.
The offer came on the same day that US special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, left Qatar after the latest ceasefire negotiations with Hamas failed, raising fears that the conflict could escalate into full-scale war once again.
