Tunisia: Document evidences violence against LGBT+ community

A newly-released document has evidenced the growing violence experienced by the LGBT+ community in Tunisia.
Published by RFI on March 17th, the document transcribes twelve interviews with queer people in Tunisia in an attempt to show the difficulty of living in a country where homosexuality is criminalized by law.
The testimonies show that repression has intensified in recent months, a fact confirmed by NGO Amnesty International who also denounced the wave of arrests of people arrested based on their sexual orientation or gender identity between December 2024 and January 2025.
