Migrants die in boat disaster after setting sail from Tunisia

At least six migrants have died and 40 more are missing after a boat that set sail from Tunisia was found shipwrecked off the Italian island of Lampedusa, according to The Arab Weekly on March 20th.

The Italian coastguard said separately it intervened after being alerted to a rubber dinghy in distress, finding ten survivors and six bodies.

The coastguard said search and rescue efforts were continuing throughout the week.
