Morocco bans slaughter of female sheep until March 2026

Morocco has instated a ban on the slaughter of female sheep and goats, lasting from March 19th 2025 until March 19th 2026.
According to government funded Morocco World News, this is due to drought causing herd numbers to dwindle.
The main goal is to support efforts to rebuild herds across the country.
