Egypt, Lebanon and Iran warn of escalating tensions in Middle East

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has warned of the risks of escalating tensions in the Middle Eastern region during phone calls with his Lebanese and Iranian counterparts, according to Middle East Monitor on March 22nd.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement conveying that Abdelatty’s conversation with Rajji addressed the “alarming escalation in southern Lebanon”.
They also warned that “such an escalation could lead to further tension and instability in the region and exacerbate an already fragile situation.”
