Israel air strike hits hospital, killing Hamas official and teenage boy

An Israeli airstrike has hit a hospital in southern Gaza, killing a senior Hamas official and a 16-year-old boy, according to Hamas and health officials.
Reported by Al Jazeera, Ismail Barhoum was a member of Hamas’s political bureau and was undergoing treatment at Nasser hospital in Khan Younis before he was targeted by the air strike.
His death marks another loss for the political wing of Hamas as Israel attempts to wipe out the political leadership of the group, not just the military combatants, after the collapse of the ceasefire earlier this month.
