The United Nations, UN, said it will scale back its staff in the Gaza Strip after repeated attacks from Israel have threatened the lives of UN staffers.

The world body will remove, temporarily, about a third of its workers in Gaza, blaming the increased danger after Israel relaunched military offensives in the enclave following the collapse of the ceasefire, reported by AP News.

The reduction of staff comes at the same time as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens following the resumed military onslaught as well as the blockade Israel has imposed which has cut off all food, medicine, aid and other supplies to the Gazan population.
