Sudanese refugees are to lose the support of the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) medical treatment programmes because of a marked drop in funding to it, according to The New Arab on April 3rd.

The suspensions open the door for serious effects on thousands of refugees in this economically-struggling country.

People expect to be left without access to medical treatment, child protection services and other forms of aid.
