DR Congo reach ceasefire deal with rebel group

The DR Congo has reached a ceasefire deal with the M23 rebel group after successful talks were held in Qatar, as reported by France 24 on April 24th.
The two sides have “agreed to work towards the conclusion of a truce”.
Whilst this is a positive development, caution should be urged as this is the sixth truce or ceasefire that has been reached since the conflict began in 2021.
