Kenya has expressed a strong interest in strengthening its relationships with Beijing amid the economy uncertainty caused by Trump’s global tariffs.
According to The Associated Press, while visiting China on April 24, Kenyan president William Ruto described closer ties with China as necessary, citing the current US trade war as a “death blow” to the existing world order.
In addition to deepening existing economic ties, the two nations also pledged to enhance cooperation on security and defence.
