African Union urges for action to be taken against jihadist groups

The African Union have called for urgent action to be taken in order to deal with jihadist groups after a recent attack blamed on Islamists killed 54 soldiers in northern Benin, according to The New Arab on April 27th.
Benin has seen a recent spike in the number of strikes targeting army positions.
On 17 April, suspected extremists attacked military posts in a national park.
