Sudan: De facto leader to visit Egypt to discuss country’s future

The de facto leader of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has travelled to Egypt in order to discuss his country’s future amidst the continued civil war, as reported by Middle East Monitor on April 29th.

Discussions between the President of Egypt and the chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council focussed on military gains made by the army against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) rebel group as well as how the two country’s could strengthen bilateral ties.

The two men released a statement calling for greater support to be given to the Sudanese army.
