Amnesty International has warned both the UN and the public in a new report of a series of clear breaches of the arms embargo currently in place in South Sudan.
As reported by France 24, these breaches include the illegal transfer of weapons, attacks on civilian populations, and the presence of Ugandan troops operating in the country without UN approval.
The report comes amid discussions within the UN Security Council about whether to renew the arms embargo on South Sudan or allow it to expire.
